About the Inn

The Victorian Lady, circa 1856, is a unique blend of three different architectural styles. The original section is Greek Revival.  The dramatic east facade added about 1874, is Second Empire, with its Mansard roof and front tower.

The Eastlake veranda was added some ten years later, and finally, during its historic restoration in 1993-94, its two-story rear porches and authentically designed Carriage House were added.

Your hosts, the Deswert family will make every effort to assure that your stay will be a memorable experience.

All facilities have been modernized, extensive gardens added, and each room painstakingly furnished with antiques and period furniture and beautifully decorated. All guest rooms have cable TV and are air conditioned. Now, the "Lady" welcomes guests who wish to share the elegance and romance of a bygone era.

Absolutely the best B & B we have ever experienced.

Breakfast at the Lady is a special event! Served either in our candlelit Dining Room or on the Veranda, we prepare a three course gourmet menu that changes daily. Breakfast is served at 8:30 am for all guests; you are invited to linger, making new friends or planning your day.

We have stayed at many B & B's and the Victorian Lady is certainly one of the best. A lovely home and great breakfasts. An impeccable place.
